Tag der Clubkultur Award 2022

For the Tag der Clubkultur Award 2022, we created a series of 40 unique sculptures—each one shaped from pigmented clay, each one carrying its own rhythm.

Forms emerge in slow motion, as if caught mid-transformation. Surfaces fold, stretch, and flow into one another, suggesting a landscape that is never still, never fixed.

Together, they form an intertwined terrain of color and complexity—readable as a collective body or as singular presences. Like Berlin’s club culture itself, they exist in multiplicity: diverse, layered, and constantly evolving.

Up close, the pieces reveal their quiet intricacies. Small imperfections, hidden textures, subtle shifts in tone—details that invite the viewer to come nearer, to look longer, to touch. There is something to be discovered in every curve.

Once fired, the clay takes on a stone-like weight—dense, grounded, and enduring. Each trophy becomes an anchor, holding space for the communities it represents, supporting their roots as they continue to grow, expand, and move toward an open future.
